February 14th

This year, February 14th will give a whole new meaning. Not only it’s a date set to celebrate V-day (aka Valentine’s Day), but there’s also another celebration falls on that same day….. IMLEK!!

So, this year we would not only be offered chocolates, roses, and Pink atmosphere, we would also have barongsai, kue bulan (what’s the correct term in English, btw?), and the iconic color for Imlek, red and GOLD!!

i wonder, would anyone crazy enough to mixture the 2 celebration in order not to lose any of them? let’s see… they could’ve produce pink-colored angpao, chocolate with ‘wealth’ kanji carved on top instead the conventional ‘i love you’, a bouquet of mei hwa (aka sakura) instead of roses or even better, a bouquet of firecrackers!! that would surely fire up the spirit

mental note:WEAR or even better BUY a new set of red lingeries to wear on Imlek. ancestors say it brings good fortune to wear red on Imlek, so why not wear it from deep down under. at least, red underwear will give you a smexy feeling, leaves you feeling happy and confident. and maybe, that’s the key to bring good fortune.
